So the storyboards at the end of the episodes are "cannon" it seems. Now I'm wondering if the fact it's anarchy's voice talking over the ending storyboards is also important, maybe it's her dream or whatever rather than Otaku Hero's like some people have said, or maybe she's reading this manga and imagining herself in the story. And not to mention the big "wallpaper style" art at the very end of each episode is usually of the maho shojos, but this one was some normal girl that I believe we haven't seen before. Possibly anarchy "irl" if we go with the theory I said above, otherwise for a more "normal" approach, she might be patient zero for the maho shoujo experiments that are implied to have happened at some point

It would even explain why he has seemingly godlike powers: he is the author of this world.
Kinda like a Grant Morrison comic called Flex Mentallo, were the main bad guy was a frustrated comic book writer who after failling at life hard, chose to destroy the superhero fictional world

This is starting to feel like Animegataris except maybe better paced.
I SWEAR Animegataris would have been a better remembered anime, if it had more time to breath from the first arc / half (slice of life school shenanigans centered around a cast of otakus who love anime against the student council), to the 2nd half (meta deconstruction of how their world devolves into more anime cliches until they discover they are an anime)

For the love of rods, I would hate if this anime devolved into "it's all in your head BS, none of this is real" reveal.
I would give it a pass if it is at least like SSSS.Gridman, or Grant Morrison's Animal Man where they make clear, "sure this world is fictional / a simulation, but just because it is another reality different from "the real one", it doesn't make it less important".
Or at least make it like Renai Flops were the characters from the simulation eventually go on to live in the real world

Man this enemy is so unfair. And otaku hero is so dumb. Attacking the headquarters directly feels like an elementary move and predictable when they still have little info about the enemy. Better send a spy before anything. Besides a spy must have infiltrated their sides already they should have atleast expected this. By the looks of things no matter how you look at it they are losing. Could it be their last hope is the thing anarchy has been hiding?

Idk what going on in this anime anymore but the music keeps me coming back. Actually can't wait for the OST drop.

then in the end, the huge plot twist is they all trapped in VR World, and actually their world is okay, but the people that got experiment only otaku 🗿
